The A&M player dribbled into three players in a desperation situation. Generally, if you are an offensive player initiating contact, you do NOT get the benefit of the doubt.<BR/><BR/>The biggest problem is that millions of people (most who have no idea what they are talking about) are all over this thing. It's ridiculous and someone needs to defend the other side of this story--I'm defending the other side.<BR/><BR/>Isaac, you've bashed referees all season long. One doesn't need to go far to find your excuses for MSU losing to Wisconsin and Penn State. The Villanova/Georgetown game was a little earlier; The list goes on. Isaac, you have permission to gripe, because you are consistently griping.<BR/><BR/>The fact of the matter is that too many people (unqualified at that) are turning this into a circus. Maybe if Texas A&M could have cut of Collison's dribble penetration in the final minute of the game, we aren't having this conversation.<BR/><BR/>Games are decided by players during the entire 40 minutes. There has to be a difference between an official at the HS/Rec level and college/pro level. The Texas A&M player went hard into three UCLA defenders and didn't get a call. <BR/><BR/>Was it a foul? Probably.<BR/>Were the officials rooting for UCLA? No.<BR/><BR/>I don't know if you've ever been an official, umpire, referee, sidejudge, etc. If you have, you will understand that the game comes at you awfully fast and you don't have 3 days to look at still photos to see if you are making a correct call.<BR/><BR/>Long story short, the guy made the call he thought was correct given the time, situation, and circumstances.
