A-11 OFFENSE: IS THAT LEGAL?

I've never heard of this and frankly, I'm not even sure this is entirely legal but some HS team's been running it.

Supposedly, all 11 players on the field are eligible receivers.

The base offense is one in which a center and two tight ends surround the football, three receivers are split right, three more split left and two quarterbacks stand behind in a shotgun, one of whom has to be at least 7 yards behind the line of scrimmage.

I don't even know what to say about this. On one hand, it seems innovative, but on the other, I feel like they should just be playing carnival music when they snap the ball.

I've seen it, too. Either Illinois or Indiana used to have one or two plays from that formation in their playbook, so State used to prep for it that week (maybe it was NW?)

The offense is legal, but there's no way all 11 players are eligible receivers.
