Week 10 NFL Frauds

5. Detroit Lions
All you need to know about this game was in the boxscore.
-18 rushing yards, 5 turnovers
You're not going to win many games like that.
4. San Diego Chargers
Chargers had a 23 point lead but let it slip away only to see Adam Vinatieri miss a chip shot 29 yard fg with 2 minutes left. Somehow the Colts overcame a 6 int performance by Peyton Manning.
I would have Marty Schottenheimer on speed dial if Im San Diego ownership.
3. Steve McNair
Against one of the worst defenses in football, McNair laid an egg at home. It got so bad that Kyle Boller made an apperance and even received applause from the crowd when he entered. This cant sit well with McNair whose days may be numbered as the starter.
Want a disgusting stat? McNair has 2 td passes this year and 11 turnovers.
Those are Joey Harrington-esque.
2. Adam Vinatieri
How many 50 yard field goals has Vinatieri made in the last five years?
ZERO!
After missing a 42 yarder to give the Colts some momentum going into the half, Vinatieri followed it up with a miss from 29 yards to give the Colts the lead.
Highest paid kicker in the league and you cant make chip shots? I wonder if Manning regrets running Vanderjerk out of town.
1. New Orleans Saints
The Rams had not won a game all year. The Saints were at home and had reeled off 4 straight wins and looked like the team that went to the NFC Championship game last year.
None of that mattered.
The Saints left a steaming pile of crap on the field Sunday. They let their old coach, Jim Haslett(an idiot in his own right), run blitz after blitz and didnt adjust until the 4th quarter when it was too late.
I will now forever hate the Saints because they eliminated me in my survival league. I hope that team moves to LA!

Is it really fair to call a potential hall of fame QB (with arguably a good chance) who is at the end of his career a "fraud"?
That's like calling Emmitt Smith a fraud when he was in Arizona. Or Seau a fraud in NE.
Specifically for this year and with the Ravens, McNair is a fraud....
Id have no problem saying it when Emmit was in AZ or Seau with NE
and fwiw, I dont believe McNair will be in the HOF
Has McNair been bad? No question. But, "fraud" isn't the right term. Washed up would describe him better.
I'm surprised the guy's still playing. He was a warrior a few years back when he could barely stand, but played and played well. The fact he is still playing makes me question his judgment, his team's judgment, and the both talent pool and general level of proficiency at quarterback position in the NFL right now, but I don't think he's representing himself as one thing when he is actually something else (and thus a fraud). Past his prime. Washed up. Over the hill. Time to hang 'em up. Sure.
See.
Also, how about Manning's fourth interception? That is as good a catch as you ever have, or ever will see. That was as good a CATCH as Woodson's at MSU in '97. Only difference (and, admittedly, its a major difference) is Woodson jumped high and stayed in bounds in making an amazing catch. Last night, the guy was falling down, but he still reached as high as he possibly could and made the best catch possible. According to the laws of science, that is the best catch possible. Look it up.
He's fraudulent this year...people keep making excuses that he is good and that he could carry the team to the playoffs...but he hasnt shown anything...
he's not a good qb anymore and anytime you get benched by Kyle Boller, to quote Denny Green
"you are what we thought you were"
pat, if i find a replay Ill put it up

the term fraud is used loosely in this title
Loosely and incorrectly. See.
Air McNair is washed up, not fraudulent.
Tony Mandarich was fraudulent.
Its not a top five washed up list
its a top five frauds list
and each person or team in week 10, showed why they are frauds
If he pulled a Jamarcus Russell or Ryan Leaf, where he demanded a huge contract, or held out, etc., then he could be a fraud. The fact that he once was good and has had great success in the past that is not being met in the presence, does not make him a fraud.
You're a fraud.
This could be a list of the worst performances in week 10. To call Vinatieri a fraud is ridiculous. He's one of the most clutch kickers of all time and still hit 80% of his field goals this year.
And why are the Chargers on here...last time I checked they beat the second best team in the NFL last night.
plain and simple, viniateri missed two very makeable field goals
san diego is on there because they arent as good as their record indicates...blowing a 23 point lead when you have 6 ints and against a team that only had 15 offensive players healthy?
thats sad
So missing two field goals makes the most clutch kicker of all time a fraud? 'Fraud' is being used incorrectly here. Sure he had a bad week...but does that determine if he's a fraud? I think not.
As for San Diego(Whale's Vagina)...Their record is 5-4. They are as good as their record indicates. They also did not blow a 23pt lead...They ended up winning 23-21.
Isaac, I get your point regarding San Diego, but Chris does raise a good point: they did win they game.
'YOU PLAY TO WIIIIIIN THE GAAAAAAAME!'
SD did not entirely blow a lead but essentially, if you let a team come back from that many turnovers and have to have a missed fg from 29 yards to win, that says something about your team
just my opinion
and Ill admit I was a little hard on Viniateri, however, if you are the highest paid kicker in the NFL and you are supposedly the most clutch kicker in NFL history, you fart out 29 yard field goals while sleeping
Not even I fart out 29 yard field goals while sleeping.
If anything other than air, sound, smell and hilarity comes out, it's not a fart.
